Meditations - Past Life

Close your eyes. Make sure you’re comfortable. Take a deep breath and release the day. This is a safe environment and you are in complete control.

As you start to relax you see a light in the distance and you walk towards it. Your eyes adjust and you find yourself surrounded by a beautiful rain forest. Everywhere you look you see vibrant shades of green. The trees are hundreds of feet and their canopies block almost all sunlight. The little bit of light that manages to break through are like rays of pure gold. The foliage on the ground is glistening from the light rain shower that just ended. You can still smell the sweet scent of the rain and it permeates every pour of your body. As you take a deep breath you can actually feel the vibration of the forest. At this moment you feel connected to everything around you. You have complete clarity. You are at peace, you are whole.

As you take another deep breath you notice a path and are drawn to it. You follow the path for only a short way before it opens to a small clearing. You hear water in the distance, maybe from a stream or fountain. In the clearing stands a door. You can walk all the way around this door and it is just a door. It seems as if this door serves no purpose. Yet you are compelled to find out why it is here. You turn the handle and push but it does not budge. You walk around the door to the other side to see what is blocking it but there is nothing. As you circle back around to the front you notice a small light on the edge of the clearing. It is a candle. You walk over to investigate and you notice that the candle is sitting on a long, narrow table. The candle is off to the side and in the center of the table is a beautiful crystal bowl. It has a large circumference yet it is very shallow. The bowl seems to be vibrating and amidst its beauty you notice the slightest bit of ash in the bottom. Next to the bowl is a piece of parchment paper. It is yellowed with edges that are frayed. With the paper is a fountain pen. You pick up the pen and notice that it has a wonderful weight to it. It is the type of pen that makes you want to write. You know by just holding this pen that you could create a masterpiece.

As you stand there pondering the magnificence of this pen, you glance back at the door. You know how to open it. On the parchment you write down your deepest fear. You find that writing it out somehow brings it forward and you tremble ever so slightly. In this instance the forest seems to surround you with warmth and love. You take a deep breath and read your words. Instinctively you pass the parchment over the candle and light it on fire. You lay it in the crystal bowl and watch it burn. You are mesmerized by the flames. As your fear is reduced to ashes you turn back towards the door. It is calling you.

You walk to the door and try to open it again. You turn the knob and give it a little push. It opens easily and you are enveloped in a bright, soothing light. You step through the door and there is someone waiting for you. This is your guide for your journey today. Whatever anxiety you were feeling has melted away. Your guide is bathing you with unconditional love. You take a deep breath and you are ready. You are ready to see the birth of your fear.

The white light around you is dimming and the scene begins to come into focus. Take notice of your surroundings. Do you recognize this place? Do you know who you are? Look at what are you wearing. What is happening around you? Are there other people here? If so, how are these people reacting to you? Now take a deep breath and notice how you feel. Ask your guide what you are supposed to learn from this experience. You are calm, you are at peace.

It is time to go. You look to your guide and notice they are holding the crystal bowl full of ashes. You realize in this moment that your fear has been released. You take a deep breath and close your eyes. You are enveloped by a warm breeze that bathes you in complete love. You open your eyes and the ashes are gone, the bowl is empty. The remnants of your fear are also gone. Your guide surrounds you with white light and the scene disappears. You thank your guide for this journey. They lovingly smile back and in an instant you are back in the clearing and the door has closed behind you. With one last look around, you take a deep breath and start down the path back home. You leave knowing that you are loved and you are whole.

Take a few moments to come back to the room.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is an act of detaching yourself from the hustle and bustle of life around you. It is being at peace and gives you a deep level of self awareness. It calls for emptying your mind of all worries and cares and just surrendering yourself - surrendering yourself to whatever energies will fill you. Meditation is enervating and renewing.
